I have not received any email!
If you have signed up or posted as a Guest you are required to confirm you email address before your registration or classified becomes active. The email is sent out immediately after the registration or listing was submitted on the site. If you have not received this email within 5 minutes please check your SPAM folder. If it's still not there please contact us at help [at] market.bb or click the support link above and we will solve it for you.
Facebook login
You can login in using the Market application on Facebook, this allows us to collect your name (which will be used as your username) and your email (which will be used to confirm your classifieds). No other information is or can be collected by us.
This login functionality is developed by Facebook and not us, they are the ones facilitating this login, once you have agreed to share your name and email from Facebook they will transmit these to us. No other information is exchanged or available to us.
My uploaded pictures does not display correctly!
You have to make sure the picture is within the correct proportions. 640x480 or 800x600. Once the picture is uploaded it will be converted to JPEG, resized to 540x380 and watermarked to fit into the frames meant for viewing. Thumbnails will be automatically created and placed along the side of the main image.
How do I delete a classified?
First of all you must be the publisher of the classified. If you are click "My account" then mark the item either sold or bought. You may also archive the item in which case it cannot be relisted. Once a classified is marked as sold, bought or archived it cannot be view by anyone else then the publisher of the classified.
If you listed the classified as a guest you may remove it using the password you supplied when listing the object or service.
Can I use HTML when adding the classified?
No. HTML tags can be used for various purposes, however in this case they are most likely to be abused, i.e. excessive bold, italic, underline and flashing text. You may however enter links to other sites that are related to the item, these links will be automatically converted to clickable links once someone views the classified. Don't use the <a href=""> tag just put the plain link in the text.
Why is my email address not shown in the classified?
Your email address is hidden to prevent SPAM. A form is provided in which the interested person can submit a query to the publisher.
Can I change a existing classified?
Yes you may change a classified at any time, however it will be stated in the classified that you have "updated" it.
How long will the classified be shown?
A classified will be shown until it is either unlisted by the publisher or for a maximum length of 3 months.
Why do I have to supply my phone numbers, I only want reply's by email!
The numbers are required for market.bb to get in contact with you, if required. You may choose if they are displayed or not in the classified your publish. Some people only wish to show their cell phone since some persons can call on inconvenient times. You may also choose under your "My profile" link if you want the numbers to show as standard when you add new classifieds.
